Easy Udon Noodles Recipe For Dinner
Japanese curry is a home cooking staple in Japan, with their most go-to dish being curry rice. Another curry dish that’s not as popular as curry rice, though just as delicious, is curry udon.
The curry udon noodles dish that I’m sharing is a fusion recipe that’s not traditional. However, you still get hints of that delicious curry taste in a creamy sauce.
This dish is so effortless to make, you can add it to your quick and easy weeknight dinner (or lunch) rotations since it only takes 15 minutes to make!
Creamy Curry Udon Noodles
This particular creamy curry udon recipe is a dish that’s inspired by the Japanese curry udon. I’ve made it so many times for my family and friends, and it’s become a favorite of many! Also, psst…it’s a big hit with the kids as well!
It has a creamy, slightly salty and flavorful sauce that pairs amazingly with udon. The key ingredient that makes this dish creamy is the cooking cream. However, if it’s not easily available to you, evaporated milk or whipping cream are both great alternatives.
An easy recipe that you wouldn’t want to miss out on. Enjoy!

I really loved this recipe. I think the curry was surprisingly thick so I ended up adding about 2 tbsp of water. It was still thick but I didn’t want to push it. I really liked the simple ingredients. I’ll be making this again asap. Maybe tomorrow.
I didn’t add parm because I, personally, thought that was more an additional kid-attractor. As a salt lover, I don’t think it affected the my enjoyment. I added ground pork because I love meat. I used fat free evaporated milk. I was FORCED to use a different story fry noodle because they were out of udon.
So happy you enjoyed it! Hope you get to try it with udon next time 🙂
Very good recipe! Thank you for sharing it!
I added shrimp and will definitely make it again
