3 Simple Leftover Queso Dip Meals

easy queso dip cheese cheesy superbowl game day party appetizer one pot delicious crowd please

Queso dips can be so addicting. When I make a batch of my Ground Beef Queso Dip, trust that I’ll keep dipping the various chips that I have on hand and it’ll be so hard to stop! But some times you might still have some extra portions of this cheesy dish, and wonder what to do with leftover queso dip. Well, here are 3 simple leftover queso dip meals that you can try!

But first things first, you have to reheat the queso dip.

Reheat & Storage

If you ever have leftover queso dip, always ensure that it’s cooled down before transfering into an airtight container for storage. You can opt to refrigerate it, which can last for up to 3 days, or freeze it up to 3 months.

To reheat, you can microwave the queso dip, but it’s always best to reheat on the stovetop. It’s also important to note that the consistency of the leftover dip will be thicker. If it’s a bit too thick, you can thin it out with a bit of water, some broth (chicken, beef, or vegetable broth for example), or even milk!

For frozen queso dip, thaw it out in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight before you reheat on the stovetop.

Easy Leftover Queso Dip Ideas

1. Taco Salad With Queso

The best thing about salads is that you can basically throw in anything you like in there. And this taco salad does just that. So easy and customizable!

Ingredients

  • Iceberg lettuce (thinly sliced)
  • Tomato (diced)
  • Beef queso dip
  • Pickled jalapeno (sliced)
  • Tortilla chips (crushed)

How to make easy queso taco salad

The base of the salad is a bed of iceberg lettuce and handful of diced tomatoes. Then layer on some beef queso dip, before finally topping it with some pickled jalapeno and crushed tortilla chips. Adjust the amount of ingredients as to your liking!

Additional toppings: You can also add on some bell peppers, red onions, or even mushrooms.

2. Loaded Nachos With Queso

These loaded nachos are downright delicious. A great option to snack on during game days or when you’re binging on your favorite shows.

This might seem similar to the taco salad above, but I’ll say that the main difference lies in the base for this dish being the tortilla chips rather than the iceberg lettuce.

Ingredients

  • Tortilla chips
  • Iceberg lettuce (thinly sliced)
  • Tomato (diced)
  • Beef queso dip
  • Shredded cheese: You can use your favorite cheese. I like to use sharp cheddar and mozzarella. Monterey jack is also a good option as it melts well.
  • Pickled jalapeno (sliced)
  • Sour cream

How to make loaded nachos with queso

In a microwave-safe bowl or plate, add your tortilla chips, sliced iceberg lettuce, diced tomato, and queso dip, then top it off with shredded cheese. Microwave in 30-second increments until the cheese is melted. Top it off with pickled jalapeno and sour cream.

3. Queso Toast

If you’re looking for what to eat with queso besides chips, then this queso toast is the answer. Queso and bread is such a simple pairing, but it goes so well.

Ingredients

  • Sourdough bread (or any bread of your choice)
  • Beef queso dip
  • Grated parmesan
  • Dried parsley

How to make quick queso toast

Toast your bread of choice, then add on your beef queso dip. Top it with some grated parmesan and dried parsley.

You can also serve this with a side of tomato soup.
