I absolutely love when I stumble upon recipe hacks or tips that make preparing a dish much simpler. So when I came across this easy 2-ingredient dough recipe, I was so excited and dazzled by the endless possibilities of things to make!

I learned about this dough from a friend who was part of the Weight Watchers program. Ever since then, I’ve used this dough for all sorts of things, like to make bagel, pizza crust, and even flatbread.

what is WW 2-ingredient dough?

This 2-ingredient dough is part of the Weight Watchers diet, and is known as the “magic dough” because of how versatile it is. It requires only (yes, that’s right) 2 ingredients, that is equal parts self-rising flour and Greek yogurt, and comes together quickly!

Because the dough requires no yeast, there’s no need for any resting time! The self-rising flour (which has baking powder in it) is the ingredient that helps give the dough a bit of rise.

This simple recipe is a great alternative to store-bought dough. If you’d like, you can also freeze some of the leftover dough for the future!

Ingredients You’ll Need

(For full ingredient measurements, please proceed to the recipe card below.)

  • Self-rising flour: All-purpose flour that’s pre-mixed with baking powder and a bit of salt.
  • Greek yogurt: It’s important to use Greek yoghurt (not Greek-style yoghurt) instead of plain regular yoghurt as it has a thicker texture, which helps in holding the dough together.
  • Olive oil
  • Jalapeno
  • Sharp cheddar cheese
  • Parmesan
  • Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Hot honey (optional)

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F and grate the cheese.
  2. To a bowl, add the Greek yogurt and self-rising flour. Mix with a spoon and eventually with a clean hand. Lightly knead it or keep doing a folding motion until you can form a ball (see notes).
  3. Transfer to a lined baking tray and drizzle a bit of olive oil on top. Flatten it to your desired shape and thickness.
  4. Add another drizzle of olive oil, sliced jalapeños, the shredded cheese, and optional, a dash of Italian seasoning on top (see notes). Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Serve while hot and optional but highly recommended, drizzle hot honey on top. Enjoy!

notes for 2-ingredient dough cheesy jalapeno bread

Knead the dough into a ball

The dough ball doesn’t have to be smooth or kneaded perfectly. Just as long as you’re able to form it into a ball.

Why is my 2-ingredient dough so sticky?

Some Greek yoghurts are more watery than others. The extra moisture can result in the dough becoming stickier.

If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour. If it’s too dry and not forming a dough, add a bit more Greek yogurt. Add 1 tbsp at a time for both.

How to make a crispy crust?

For a crispy crust, I like to add more parmesan to the edges.

Can you freeze WW 2-ingredient dough?

Yes, you can freeze the dough! Simply place it in a zip bag or saran wrap it, then store in the freezer. Whenever you’d like to use the dough, thaw it out until its at room temperature before adding on your toppings.

However, it will take longer to thaw if you store the dough in a ball shape. So you can roll it out into your desired thickness before storing.

Ramadan recipe #5 Burrata Bruschetta with Tomatoes Ramadan recipe #5 Burrata Bruschetta with Tomatoes @farahjeats
Save and share this recipe! I am obsessed with this one. During restaurant week, Mike and I went to a place that served the most amazing bruschetta. So of course I had to recreate it at home but with my own twist.
I love roasted garlic so decided to add that instead of just rubbing fresh garlic cloves on top of toasted bread. I’ve also seen people add burrata and decided to try that and was instantly sold. Just don’t make the same mistake I did by forgetting to take out your burrata from the fridge ahead of time but I was chasing daylight so I had to make do 🥲 also, if you can’t find/don’t have burrata— just shred fresh mozzarella and mix it with heavy cream and a bit of salt to get stacciatella (the creamy inside of the burrata).
ANYWAY, I loved this so much I made it 3 days in a row 🥹 it’s a lot easier than it looks and I hope you like it!

Ramadan recipe #4 Creamy Tom Yum Inspired Udon @fa Ramadan recipe #4 Creamy Tom Yum Inspired Udon @farahjeats
Save and share this quick and easy recipe. If you love Tom Yum, you’ll love this one!
I originally set out to recreate the Tom Yum Udon from FamilyMart back in Malaysia but didn’t have certain ingredients to complete the experience. I also felt like eating something creamy and so that led me to this particular recipe. I was going to use heavy cream but coconut milk made this even better (you can definitely use heavy cream instead if you’re not a fan of coconut flavored things). So maybe this udon is actually a mix between Tom Yum and Tom Khai Ghai which are two Thai soups that I absolutely love so I’d consider this recipe a winner ☺️
Tom Yum has a special place in my heart too because it’s definitely a must order for me and my family if we get Thai food. Safe to say, this udon recipe has been a repeat in my house the past few weeks and will definitely be part of our rotation this Ramadan 💛

Ramadan recipe #3 15-Minutes Egg Drop Soup with “crab” sticks @farahjeats
Growing up, no matter how hot Malaysia is— we’ll always have soup at least once a week. Mostly a weekly request from my dad and something he looks forward to. So my mom will make different kinds of soups weekly.
Now I associate soups as something comforting and the best pick me up. This is an easy and quick go to soup recipe for my house. It’s always a crowd pleaser too! Definitely making this more often during Ramadan ♥️
Although not traditional, I like seasoning with fish sauce because of the flavor it adds to the soup but feel free to skip and use soy sauce or salt instead.

Ramadan recipe #2 Cookie Dough Baked Oatmeal @fara Ramadan recipe #2 Cookie Dough Baked Oatmeal @farahjeats
Save and share this recipe! This was inspired by the viral recipe created by @callascleaneats.
This cookie dough baked oatmeal will be perfect for suhoor or as a healthy breakfast if you’re not fasting. I made this a lot the past few months for Mike’s breakfast and he loves it. I’m definitely planning to make this the night before and heat it up for our suhoor once Ramadan starts.
In the original viral recipe, she used a banana but I don’t like bananas. So I used medjool dates instead. More details on this on my site.

Ramadan recipe #1: Malaysian-style Soy Sauce Chick Ramadan recipe #1: Malaysian-style Soy Sauce Chicken (ayam masak kicap) @farahjeats
Save and share this easy and delicious chicken recipe. If you enjoyed my Malaysian style soy sauce eggs, you’ll absolutely love this one!
This fried chicken simmered in a savory and slightly sweet sauce is great on its own and so SO good with rice. It’s a family favorite especially among my nieces and nephews!
This dish is quite popular in neighboring countries too although it may be slightly different. There are so many variations of this dish with each family having their own take on it. This is a version of the dish that I’ve been making a lot over the years because of how easy and simple it is.
Some recipes add potatoes to this dish too but I like keeping it simple.
For the sauce it’s sweet soy sauce, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, curry powder and rice vinegar. Full measurements with detailed instructions on my site!

One of the last meals my mom made for me before I flew back to Chicago was this fragrant coconut rice and rendang ayam. Rendang is basically a spicy dry coconut curry. Sometimes my mom uses beef but for this particular recipe, she used chicken. It can take hours to make especially if you use beef so that the meat is extra soft and tender. I like recreating recipes like this when I’m feeling homesick and to feel closer to my mom and family.
So this Ramadan, on top of easy recipes that I know you’ll love— I’ll also be sharing recipes that have a special place in my heart Mondays - Fridays. First recipe goes live this Monday. Stay tuned ☺️💛

Save and share this delicious recipe! It’s such a simple but perfect meal that anyone will love. The fried chicken is light and crispy and goes well with seasoned rice and the spicy mayo sauce. I usually like ordering this at Japanese restaurants but I prefer making this at home so I can eat as many of the karaage as I want 😆
Traditionally made with mirin and/or sake, this karaage recipe is alcohol free.
